The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
We have to do a file transfer to a Windows server. The people running that server do not want to mess around with "tricky" stuff like FTP. So, currently, file is sent to a Windows server here and a BAT file forwards it to the other server. Not optimal, as there is no obvious way to know when a password has expired.
QNTC seems like a possibility. But, I am having an issue.
How do I create the directory using a specific share name?
If I omit the share name, then I see nothing. Which could mean that some service is not running. But, the command does not end in error. I have checked the share name used on my pc. Case matches. There is no user login needed on the server I am testing (real secure.....).
Only thing I can see when working with authority is that it is owned by QDFTOWN and I am not allowed to modify authority. But, I am allowed to create and remove the directory.
Makes me think that the Windows server is controlling the security, since I am using DTAAUT(*RWX) OBJAUT(*ALL).
This was a test case. I have no access to the target server, was just experimenting on a local server that I do have access to.
Thanks
John McKee
