Well, SEU isn't an issue for me... so 32766 would be nice, although
probably a bit overkill, but at least it feels unlimited. Now, once I get
to 6.1 I have accumulated about a half dozen things to add to my tool box
just from this week alone. Man I can't wait to get to the next set of
releases.... praying for a full tilt up to 7.1. That would be the best.

Re: Statement gives error in RUNSQLSTM
Hi Vern, Bryce,
You can actually create a source physical file with a record length of
32766. The problem (for some of us) is that SEU will only work with
source files that are 240 or less in length.

WDSC will honor that length.
You should be using the default length of 92 for SQL source used by
RUNSQLSTM - because anything after 80 is ignored, anyhow. In WDSC you
will need to be careful about that length - it won't reformat for you,
as it does for CL. At least so far as I know. You will get a message
when you type past the data length (not record length).
It is also possible to modify what length WDSC thinks it should use - I
forget the command right now.

Is the statement too long for the source member? Does it run into a
comment portion of the line? Thus, resulting in part of it being
truncated at runtime?

Bryce,
Try running it in a source by itself and see if it gets an error. I'd
statementsthe create table statement in front of it is the statement in error
(semicolon or no semicolon).

It is not the only statement in the source but all the previous
same
have semicolons. I tried wrapping the select in parens and got the
tokens:error.

Is this the only statement in the source? Is there a semicolon missing
from a preceding statement?
And does the SELECT need to be wrapped in parentheses?
