When this happened to us. I put prints on hold, ended writer (wrkwtr) immediate, wrkcfgsts *dev and veried off the printer. We then powered down the printer. We then powered the printer back on and started everything up. The prints printed ok once released. We think that it might be caused by a handup in pc prints. But does not happen that offen to be a real problem.

Happy Friday, Everyone!
Has anyone ever seen a print job that is "stuck" in a printer even when the print writer is ended and the device varied off? We have three printers in our facilities that have multiple print jobs in various states (WTR, PND, PRT) that we cannot seem to clear. The really strange thing is that they are intermixed within the jobs (ie: the first job says PRT, followed by a series of WTR, then it goes back to PRT with a few more WTRs, followed by PND and a few more PRTs).
Anyone have any idea on how to clear out these naughty jobs? Ending the print writer and varying off the printer and trying to do a "4" (delete) on the print job results in the error "File <filename> number <number> not held or deleted."
I tried to clear out the queue as well, but only a few select jobs were deleted. I also tried an ENDJOB on the difficult ones, but they still remain.
Anyone know of an easy way to completely kill all jobs in the printer queue and clean it out instead of doing it job by job?
