Technically, you don't need iSeries Access...all you need is a rexec
daemon (service/server). iSeries Access includes one, the
aforementioned " iSeries Access for Windows Remote Command".

The iSeries RUNRMTCMD is a rexec client, it will talk to any rexec
server. There are many open source / free ones for any platform you
care to name.
