Hi Nick

What card did you attach the tape drive to and how did you determine
that that was the tape drive controller ? Is it possible you've
attached the tape drive to a card that's mean to be controlling disks
?

Nope, the SRC is still there.

This is not a Production box yet.  We just got it in a couple of weeks ago
and I am migrating from our 620 on V4R5 to it.  So, no rush.

By the way, I have had no problems with it until I attached the tape
drive.  But, I don't know if the Console was locked up, and SRC code was
there, prior to the tape drive.  I was on the machine yesterday, and no
problems.

Thanx,

Nick

Um, when you disconnected the tape drive, did the message go away?  Just
trying to determine the urgency of the situation.

I believe this SRC is when the system loses contact with the load source.
Not a good SRC !!!

Subject: SRC A60x0255

Hello everyone,

I have an 810 at V5R4M5 that is standing alone, with just a twinax console

attached to it.

Today when I connectted a 3581-H17 Tape Drive to it, the console locked up

and I got a SRC A6040255, A6050255 and now a A6020255 on the front panel.

I tried googling these and get Italian web hits, and tried finding the
exact cause in the InfoCenter, to no avail.

Does anyone know what this means, and also where I can find the meanings
of ALL SRC codes?

I have now disconnected the tape drive from the system.

Thanx,

Nick
