Are there any restrictions on the operations that can be performed on
a spool file _after_ a save while active checkpoint has been reached?
I found the following in the infocenter:
Object locking: During save-while-active checkpoint processing
If you are saving spooled files with SPLFDTA(*ALL) specified, quiesce
your spooling writers until checkpoint processing is complete. To
quiesce the spooling writers, hold the output queues of each spooling
writer or end the spooling writer.
But i don't see any restrictions for after check pointing.
Just wanted to confirm that I'm not missing anything.
Note: we use BRMS to save spool files and are running v5r4.
Thanks!
Charles
