IMHO, the best alternative is to wipe everything out, and then reinstall the OS. Info about how to wipe it out is here:

However, if you just want to remove your data, then you'll need to know where all of "your data" is stored. Since every shop is different, it's going to be up to you to know that (not us!) and know how to delete it.

Obviously, this runs a risk of missing something -- and that can be especially painful if your data is confidential. So I personally think it's best to wipe it all clean, then reinstall the OS part.
