Going to have to agree with Dennis here, the roles are separate.

But in any organization large enough for separate roles, a few from
each role need to understand enough about the other role to interact.
There's probably more call for a senior developer who understand the
platform architecture, admin and security than an admin who
understands programming.

Do you have the right root CA cert? I've always found IBM i Access's
SSL support "interesting" :)

As mentioned in the other thread, I've tried downloading with iNav and
with the CWBCOSSL utility.


I usually use openssl to debug SSL issues (Windows binaries here:
http://www.deanlee.cn/programming/openssl-for-windows/).

For example, do this:
openssl s_client -connect youribmi:992

This will show you which public certificate the Telnet/SSL server uses.

I can give that a shot, I'll see what ports management central uses.
