Just went through the same thing with my boss. Now I can go into STRSQL and
run anything but only have SELECT in STRQM but he is all worried about
giving me permissions even though I can do the same thing in STRSQL. What a
pain.

Many moons ago I worked at a company where OpsNav on my PC had the bare
minimum installation. Got permission from my boss (the manager) to get the
whole enchilada. Trouble was the sysadmin was the keeper of the CD (no
network install). He (and his assistant) quizzed me hard about Why I wanted
everything. "Because I'm a @#$% programmer," I calmly replied. To which he
replied, "Well, there's a security issue." I just stared at him until I
said, "You haven't got a bloody clue."
