That's a good point. If you want to install packages on an IBM i server then
why download them to a PC, first? Why not compare what's installed on YOUR IBM
i server to what's available from a Web based repository, and then synchronize
the two?
I envision using something like HTTPAPI to compare a local repository, to a
remote repository, to synchronize the two. The user interface may be browser
based, but the file transfer may be from server to server, vs. server to PC,
then back to server. No need for the extra step.
