I am pretty sure would need some sort of IPDS attachment in order to use it as a *PRT device.

Is there a reason you have defined it as a Remote Outq instead of an IP attached printer?
Using the IP method, you have full control of your spool files including restart at page functions that you do not have on a Remote Outq.
Also, I have found that the IP defined printer supports more font attributes.
If your printer can be defined by a unique static ip address, try creating a *PRT device.

Subject: Remote Outq Question


I have a customer that has an HP 4200N printer that we have setup to use as a remote outq to print from the i. It works fine but is printing really small. It is an IP attached printer. I have tried raw, text and xaix for the RMTPRTQ and *HP4, *HP5 and *HP4000 for the MFRTYPMDL, but the font stays the same. Does anyone have any ideas?
