While waiting for a reply on my last message I've tried to do a little more research, and tried a few different things,
Hopefully the additional information will help diagnose our problem.

As far as I can tell, Jay HAS CORRECTLY loaded everything for 7-zip where it's supposed to be.
(Sorry if there was any confusion about that.)

What I have (from wrklnk) is:

In /usr/local/lib there is a link called p7zip
P7zip contains
Codecs
7z
7z.so
7za
7zCon.sfx

In /usr/local/bin there are links:
7z
7za

When I call QP2TERM, it automatically goes to /QOpenSys/usr/bin/-sh

When I do a 7z it says

7z
/QOpenSys/usr/bin/-sh: 7z: not found.

I tried changing directories from within QP2TERM.

I did a cd /usr/local/bin

When I tried the 7z I got:

7z[2]: /QOpenSys/usr/local/lib/p7zip/7z: not found.

I tried changing the directory to this:

cd /usr/local/lib/p7zip

I now get a different message.

exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program 7z because of the following errors:
0509-150 Dependent module libstdc++.a(libstdc++.so.6) could not be
loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module libstdc++.a(libstdc++.so.6).
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not
exist.
0509-021 Additional errors occurred but are not reported.

Do I need to change to another directory instead, when I'm in QP2TERM?

I want to get this working interactively, afterward I'm going to try to actually zip a file from a CL program.

(Based on the article "7-Zip Running on I" I'm expecting 7z from within QP2TERM to show me the help text.
Then I can try it with parameters.)

Thanks,
Charlie Versfelt
