I don't want to mess with my current production system, which is a Power5
V5R4 installation.
I just want to schedule time for a Option 21 save of the V5R4 system and
then return it to production operation ASAP.
While my users go on using the current system, I will be installing new
Power6 hardware, with V6R1 installed on it.
I'll test it all out to make sure everything works and then over Labor Day
weekend I'll refresh the application data libraries and go Live on the new
system.
I want to find an IBM check list that details out all the steps I need to
do in order to restore (migrate) the V5R4 system to the new V6R1 system
using V5R4 BU tapes. maybe this would be considered a Side-by-Side migration
(????)
If you know where I can find this information I'd be eternally grateful
!!!!!
