We use 7-zip for creating password protected zip files on the iSeries.
It runs under PASE.

www.7-zip.org Do not download the Windows but take the link to Source
Forge or use this direct link:

I can send you the CLLE source if you need.

Subject: Password protected ZIP

I found a few articles on the web on creating Zip files via the iSeries
in a CLLE program or from a command line.

Is it possible to create a Zip file in CLLE that is password protected?

I know you can do it in WinZip.

My specs call for a file on the IFS to be zipped and password protected,
then sent via SFTP.

We have never created zip files from the iSeries, let alone password
protected them.
I need the easiest method possible, if there's more than one way to do
it.
