Clear *NO overwrites the headers, and makes the available. The next
save will overwrite existing data. I would only use clear *YES if I
was retiring a tape, not reusing it in the next save cycle.

On a new 8203 with the built in tape drive (type 5746).  I've been
sitting here for almost
2 hours and it still initializing.  Maybe I'm just too impatient...
