Hi Rob

I've had some good experiences with this but keying it in manually as you
suggest is my plan B.

The guys I was helping had no system plan to start with so the system
planner step was needed anyway.

Dunno about bulldog determination - I think keying in 4 LPARS shows more of
that than my effort :)

Evan Harris

Caveat: I don't do these all the time.

I haven't had much luck with system plans. In fact I did one FSP upgrade
where I ended up having to rekey all 4 lpars by scratch, with a dummy lpar
in the middle to ensure that all lpars had the original lpar number for
licensing reasons. (Previously we deleted an lpar.) This was on a four
tower machine

Good luck on your bulldog determination to get it done. However, if you
don't get a resolution quickly you may want to consider keying in the lpar
manually.
