The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

I'm trying to wrap my head around how to manage objects that are stored on SSD's.
I can get a table created on a SSD (or it's PREFERRED location is on a SSD), but I can't alter a table to move it off.
CREATE TABLE with a 'UNIT SSD' will create the table on the SSD correctly, but 'ALTER TABLE tablename UNIT ANY' gives me an error. In fact, ALTER TABLE doesn't appear to support a UNIT attribute at all.
I've tried this on 6.1.1 and 7.1.
Any thoughts? Or is PMR time?
david
p.s. As an interesting side note ... you don't actually NEED any SSD's installed to be able to specify that the preferred location for a file is SSD.
