Larry,

My apologies for not answering sooner (had a *very* hectic day at work, just
now I'm able to check my e-mail).

For us, most of the installer errors seem to be related to the user's
privileges on the PC (must be ADMIN). Also, remember that just after the
install you must restart your PC with, again, an ADMIN user, as the process
is only completed AFTER the restart.

That said, I concur with the idea of installing the 6.1 version. Not only
seems to have a better installer, but it is also compatible with Windows 7.1
if you decide to upgrade your PCs.

Here are 2 of them. There are many more, however. IBM support has not
been
able to get to the bottom of our problem and this has been an intermittent
problem for about a year now.

Larry,

That's the same setup I have here. What kind of errors are you having?

iSeries Nav is only a small subset of IBM System i Access for windows.
It

is a no charge part of that product. The part you pay for is 5250
emulation and the file transfer. I haven't heard anything from Rumba
in
quite awhile - used to use it. There are a plethora of alternative
5250
products out there.

What's your beef? Price?
