Jack, the beta, or early-ship program, is something available only to
business partners, whether hardware or development. And anyone on it has
to sign non-disclosure agreement with IBM. For ISVs, it's about
determining whether there are any incompatibilities with your software -
or to validate for a new compilation model, as at 6.1.
So civilians really can't participate in any way that I'm aware of.
We're an ISV and have participated in the program. Although this year we
used a virtual loaner box that was made available, since we don't have
enough hardware to assign to it.
