Subject: HMC - FSP
Currently I have an HMC , 7310-C04 running 4.5 build 20050519.1 (Yes way
out of date but works!) The Power 5 520 FSP is running SF225_096 (Again
way out of date but works with our HMC.)
Problem is I am now getting ready to upgrade from V5R3 to V5R4, (Have
multiple system including an 820 that cannot run V6R1 so until that
system is replaced, we are going to keep all systems at V5R4).
The new OS requires me to update the FSP to at least what? Where should
I be on the HMC prior to upgrading the OS and FSP so I will still have a
console?
I am trying to avoid losing my console while upgrading the OS. If
someone has the link to the step upgrade necessary that would be great.
