Hi Jim
I just tried the following
'%&%'
'%_%'

and received the correct data being displayed
Wish I could remember how to scan for %

Ampersand is the only one that works for me in a "like".
The underscore and percent both return all records

You are in fact correct - you use like
For example
like '%&%'

You are looking for the character &
The delimiters are %
There is a way to look for % but the delimiters have to be defined as
something else
I used this once MANY moons ago. My memory is not as good as it once was
(if ever)

How does one scan for special characters in a field with sql?
Need to find percent sign - %, ampersand - &, and underscore - _
Could be in any position within a field.
Is there perhaps a way to do a like with a hex value?
