The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Sorry, Michael, but your argument just doesn't fly with me. There is
neither good or bad or worse or better here - just different.
This has degraded into a religious argument, IMHO. I use WDSC when I
decide it's the best thing for me to do, I use SEU when i decide IT is
the best thing for me to do. There ARE good reasons for me to use one or
the other. I've been on WDSC for at least 3 and maybe 5 or more years.
I'd been exposed to CODE/400 over a decade ago. WDSC's fantastic. Is it
good for everything? Not in my way of thinking. If it were all I had,
yes, I'd use it for everything. Like for developing VB, there ain't much
choice - sure, you can be a real masochist and write VB6 code in a text
editor. Whew!!
SEU is not the only thing that PDM is good for. WDSC is not designed for
system operational stuff, and Ops Nav by any name is not as fast for
multiple-object functions as the Work with... screens - that's just a
fact - I challenge you to change attributes on multiple spooled files in
Navigator as against in WRKSPLF where you can put the changes on the
command line and they are applied to all you selected - not so in
Navigator - you get a prompt for EVERY BLASTED SPOOLED FILE - sorry -
that is pathetic - even Win Explorer does that better.
OK, rant is over, and I'm not listening to anymore of this! Feel free to
ignore me, too!
Good night, Gracie!!
Regards
Vern

The CR and CCR and stuff like that is why you want to use WDSc. Copy a block
once...and then paste it as many times as you want in as many places as you
want.

Oh, what tedium I could have spared myself, had I known about CR and
CCR. Although being able to specify multiple As or Bs at the same time
for a C or a CC block would be even better.
