Library firmware won't upgrade. I saw Upgrading firmware, then
Downgrading firmware. On phone with IBM now. They suggested upgrading
library firmware first.

We have TS3100's with LTO3 and LTO4 drives. The order of the firmware
updates makes no difference that I've ever noticed. On the TS3100's (if
I'm updating both) I usually do the drives first, because the library
firmware requires a reboot.

Updating from the library's web interface is the easiest way by far,
IMO. If you don't have that set up I highly recommend doing it.

When you have firmware updates for a TS3310 (aka 3576) do you update the
library firmware first, or the drive, or does it just not matter?

Methods of updating firmware 7-22

I'm going to try the library first, since that comes first in the book.
