Gentlemen,

As usual, extremely knowledgeable responses! I appreciate your help.

I finally checked the "Convert CCSID 65535" box to solve the DBCS data
issue.

I then determined that the date & time fields were not necessary for my
immediate needs, so I just ignored them. The last problem left to solve was
the fact that one date column had blanks for many rows, and I had no idea
how to resolve that by transferring records into a table defined with date
data type fields. Perhaps an SQL field selection "if e2=blank, then
'0001-01-01', else e2"? Otherwise, if I need to do this in the future, I'll
define a table with alpha types replacing the date & time types, and then
use SQL to feed the table with the date & time data types.

Thanks,
Dan
