Hi Jim,

I have a twinax card and hub, but I am running Win2k8 and Windows 7 here.
There are no Win7 compatible twinax cards out there. The next possible
alternative is a $1500 twinax/Ethernet bridge appliance. Not likely.

For my laptop, Win XP, but the twinax pcmcia card product was EOL'd so you
can't get one of those anymore ...

I agree about a VGA port and keyboard. Hey, we've got USB ports on it!

I'm going to be following this one myself.

"LAN Console" has always struck me as a hookup mistake waiting to
happen, and I'll probably never understand why IBM dumped something as
robust and reliable as Twinax (or if they had to dump it, why they
didn't just put keyboard, mouse, and VGA ports into the box itself).
