RE: Java performance on the i ? Good? bad? OK?

I think it is pretty good, as it does not require the graphical SWING
classes/components.
Therefore the JVM is methinks leaner than on other systems.

At least, I am impressed of the performamce compared with JVM on a
Windows
machine.

Good to hear! Just out of curiosity, how do the System i and the windows
machine you mention compare from a CPU, memory standpoint (et cetera)?
