Re: Starting off with POI/HSSF

It's telling you that you are trying run it under the lower level of the
JVM. You need to be running at least Java 1.5 for the newest version of POI.
You can add an environment variable to change your default Java version. I
don't have my notes on the exact code, but you can add an environment
variable of JAVA_HOME with the path to the 1.5 release and you should be
okay.

The other option is download an older version of POI.

Is it the version of JAVA on the i or the wrong version of hssfr4.rpgle?
How do I check?
