The iSeries has a SNMP Agent, but not a fully implemented manager.
We register to the agent as a subagent to send out SNMP traps.
We also wrote an iSeries SNMP Trap manager.

Robot/Trapper receives SNMP traps, but needs to be implemented with the Robot/Console message management piece.

For what you want you could look at porting a open source java snmp manager and run it on the iSeries.

That does mention an SNMP Manager on the iSeries, and that is what
monitors for those messages, right?
