Hi Jerry,

The facet of the 5250 protocol that STRPCCMD uses to send commands does not have a mechanism for sending back an error to the IBM i. That's one of the limitations of STRPCCMD, you can't get error messages back from it directly.

So the OP was doubtless having the same issues you were. He just told it to keep the little black DOS box around long enough to see what the error was....
