Had a cousin who built a room in his basement. Floor of room was about a
foot higher than main basement floor (to avoid dampness). Walls were
three layers of fire rated gypsum board. Studs were the metal 2x4's. Door
was a fire rated door. Not going to stop Jeff's friend with the sledge
hammer but should work fine for fire. Some planning was in there for
crashing timbers above. Had more guns than any safe I knew would hold.
