Had a recent cache battery incident that did not get reported to IBM. HMC
can talk to IBM but on the I5 side sndtstrqs is not working, I was hoping
that the HMC would pick up on this and report it.

What's your definition of an "I5OS" problem? Stuff you see in STRSST,
Hardware service manager, Work with service action log
or software also? Because stuff that appears in the service action log
will generally be reported by the hmc.

The HMC can send the problems to IBM either via Modem, Internet, orvia

Is there a way to determine if A) That LPARS can send wrkprb
tolist
an HMC and B) That the HMC can indeed send these issues to IBM. Is this
possible to suffice using the go service route and using VPN native from
I5-OS to contact IBM.
