The unions are strong in the northeast...Balti, Boston, NYC, Chicago, DC...
There are union issues potentially in the south but not near as much of a
problem as they are in the north/northeast...

the union regulations in Chicago for conventions (especially exhibit
setup &c) are said to be among the worst in the nation! That's why
so much happens -around- Chicago!
Re: alternate locations-- How 'bout Cincinnati? Good airport,
reasonable accomodations, good convention center... things to see and
do...
