As long as we're talking about how expensive the conference has become how about we discuss the feasibility of moving COMMON, the corporation, out of Chicago. Why is it there? Why can't the offices be moved to a less expensive area of the country? How about Rochester, MN.? Kansas City? There must be hundreds of locations where this struggling organization could be relocated.

Make it once a year and put it in Chicago where COMMON is located. Anyone
can reach Chicago from anywhere. It's CST, so it's easier to get to each
coast in a timely fashion. Chicago is a cool city with lots to do.

COMMON should stop moving it from place to place every year so they

Nah...this stuff should have been negotiated a year ago...I'm just not
impressed that COMMON still hasn't gotten the message about attendees
needing properly priced rooms...even after the big BOM session at
Reno...someone just doesn't get it.
