I assumed that the OP did not know about FIFO and all that. Not everyone notices that extra keyword when just making a key - we don't notice what is defaulted.

Now having said that, I wonder what happens with FIFO in a RESUEDLT situation - have never tried it. My guess is that RRN is used, so it could alter things over time. But maybe there's some internal value that works differently - not aware of it, and not ready to do a test right now!

I didn't notice that the originator specified that DDS was involved, and
responded with SQL on my mind. Besides, if the files had had that
specified, I don't think the question would have been asked. Right?
