My current client uses an orphaned software package called Evolution. The
folks who bought the Evolution company fifteen years ago thought the package
was not worth supporting, so they stopped supporting it. My client is one
of a handful of users in the US who still uses Evolution. This package has
been heavily modified over the years and is primarily COBOL with the
modifications and additions mostly RPG.
Are any of you using Evolution or know of shops who use it? Evolution is a
merchandising system which runs our retail stores.
