Subject: Problems in setup Infoprinter to transform
spoolfiles to PDFs.
I am attempting for the first time to setup infoprinter to
transform the
spoolfiles to PDFs. I am following the manual but there seems to be
something missing.
I have created and configured the PSFCFG and the PDFMAP and
the virtual
printer. When I start the printer device I get this error:
Message . . . : IPDS to PDF transform job not run.
Cause . . . . : An error caused PSF to be unable to start
the IPDS to
transform on device SPOOLPDF. The reason code for the error is 2.
Reason
codes have the following meanings. 1 - No PDF exit program is
registered
for
exit point name QIBM_QPQ_TRANSFORM and exit point format name XPDF0100
with
program data of "IPDS PDF". 2 - None of the programs registered for
exit
point name QIBM_QPQ_TRANSFORM and exit point format name
XPDF0100 with
program data of "IPDS PDF" are available to PSF. Please
see previous
messages in job logs for the programs that can not be found. 3 - The
PDFDIR
value in the PSF configuration object associated with device SPOOLPDF
identifies a directory that does not exist. Processing of the printer
writer
SPOOLPDF ended. Recovery . . . : If you do not want to generate PDF
data
on this device, use the CHGPSFCFG command to change the PSF
configuration
object associated with device SPOOLPDF to have a value of
PDFGEN(*NONE).
For
reason codes of 1 and 2, use the ADDEXITPGM to register a program that
is
available for exit point name QIBM_QPQ_TRANSFORM and exit point format
name
XPDF0100 with program data of "IPDS PDF" and start the writer
again.
For reason code 3, use the CHGPSFCFG command to change the PSF
configuration
object associated with device SPOOLPDF to use a directory in
PDFDIR that
exists. Technical description . . . . . . . . : The
internal message
identifier (ID) is .
Does anyone know what is missing or what I still need to setup?
Marvin
