Yep, it *could*. I was thinking more in terms of someone who has an i and is being told that they need to switch to a "more modern" platform like Wintel. I wonder about business applications available in AIX? I know web serving and DB serving are strong application areas but when I scan my memory for an advertisement touting a business application on AIX I come up dry. I am *sure* they exist (just Google for them) but in terms of mind share for business applications, it is predominately Windows I think.

I guess I'd rather see someone go from i to p than from i to Intel.

Pretty much a "duh" for us i folks but *just* in case some of you
are fighting the "switch to Windows" battle, it might be some
additional ammo for staying on the i.

Actually, Pete, this also provides even better justification for moving to
AIX on Power.
