I used option a) and it works. Thanks Scott.

Got time to give me some pointers on how to create a unix like command?

Lim,

Two options:

a) Either change CMDA to write it's output to the spool (as described
in
the docs for the "system" command)

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/topic/rzahz/system
.htm

-or-

b) Change CMDA to work like a Unix command instead of an OS/400
command.
(remove the *CMD interface, take Unix-like parameters, write output
to
stdout)

Right now you have a mix of the two different styles, and it's
confusing.

Yes, the command (CMDA) that I'm trying to run is a OS/400 command.
Yes, I'm running the command via ssh. Using putty on my pc as the
ssh
client to run the CMDA command on iseries.

When I sent the following command from my PC's ssh client to
iseries:
System "DSPNETA"
I get the iseries Network attribute info on my PC command prompt
screen
without problem.
