Subject: NetServer Not Starting

Okay, this ain't my day (week, even). After returning from its
restricted state (after a Save *All), NetServer does not restart on the
Test machine even though it's configured to start when TCP starts
(according to its properties in System i Navigator). I have this issue
with the Test box every time it returns from a restricted state, but
never with the Production box.

I have used System i Navigator six [6, count 'em] times to start it.
Once to Reset and Start. Still stopped.

Used the green screen command (STRTCPSVR SERVER(*NETSVR) ). It says
"NETSVR server starting". The message on the command help says that if
one issues the command and NetServer is already started, a diagnostic
message will be displayed. I have done the green screen command at
least four [4] times; no diagnostic message, just the "NETSVR server
starting" info message.

It usually only takes one or two tries with System i Navigator to start
it. Not today. The FTP server started fine and works; the Graphical
Debug Server didn't start automatiucally, but fired up when I started
the iSeries Graphical Debugger. Any ideas what I should look for? Try?
I'm leaving in about fifteen minutes, anyway, for a doctor visit. Maybe
it's just tired and will start up overnight or when I issue a start
manually tomorrow.

Thanks.
