It is not a good idea to put anything in QSYS, as a mather of fact, it will be better if you work with a user profile that is not allowed to change anything in qsys.

Create an "user profile", then create a (user) library for your tests, choose a name not beging with Q.
Next update your profile to have your library as "current"
