I wrote a program that will search all spoolfile in a particular outq for a string of data. Look for SCANSPLF here:
http://home.roadrunner.com/~jbmmdietz/iseries.html

It copies the spoolfile to a userspace and scans that space.
It does not scan spoolfiles larger than the 16m limit of userspaces.

Dear All,

I have a requirement where in I have to search all my spool files for finding the occurence of a string. My program must generate a report that contains the list of all spool files which has the string.

I could think of only one solution..do a CPYSPLF of given spool file

into a file and search using FNDSTRPDM.

Any body who has tried a better way...or knows any API that does the same.It would be of great help.

Thanks in advance,

S.Chand
