Couldn't you also do a
ENDSBS SBS(*ALL) DELAY(900)
That stops any new jobs from running in the subsystem. You can test it by
SBMJOB CMD(DLYJOB DLY(1000)) JOB(TESTDLYJOB) JOBQ(QBATCH)
and doing
ENDSBS SBS(QBATCH) DELAY(900)
followed by another
SBMJOB CMD(DLYJOB DLY(1000)) JOB(TESTDLYJOB) JOBQ(QBATCH)
and you'll see that the second job stays on the queue. Make sure that the
job queue you pick (like QBATCH) is not single string so that it's a valid
test.
15 minutes x 60 seconds is 900 seconds. Adjust as per your UPS and how
long

Subject:
Hold ALL jobq's
Sent by:
midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx
I'm writing a UPS monitor program and would like to hold all job queues
before I shutdown the system so that jobs do not automatically start
running
when the system is restarted. Does anyone know of a command or program
that
will hold all job queues without my having to create a list of job queues
and read through the list.
Something that could be called from a CL pgm like HLDJOBQ *ALL would be
nice.
Thanks,
Steve
