I did a server migration for a client this weekend.
On their old server they ran with *S36 as the special environment based
on the system value QSPCENV.
I set the new server up the same since they had some home-grown code
that depended on *S36.
However, I found that I couldn't start the administrative web server.
It failed with a message about S/36 environment not supporting threads.
When I changed the QLWISVR and QTMHHTTP (and QTMHHTP1 just to get them
all) user profiles to have SPCENV(*NORMAL), the administrative web
server would start.
I'm surprised that IBM doesn't ship those profiles with the SPCENV
setting set to *NORMAL.
