When you link to these systems, are you using anything other than the Personal Communication program? Are actually using iNav to manage or work on those systems?

If you are not using the iNav functions, there is no benefit to upgrading the client to 6.1 (or the intermediate 5.4 release). My bet is that the only thing that has changed in the Personal Communications module is the version labeling; green screen is green screen, you know.

Nav at 6.1 has no problem talking back to our LPARs that run V5R3.
Navigator has always had a fair degree of forwards & backwards
compatibility. That said, I don't know if the 6.1 release would talk all
