Booth,

No, it isn't the latest. Our OS version is 5.4, and most of our PC's (mostly XP) are running iNav 5.4. I am the only one running System i Navigator 6.1. I had planned to upgrade Ops Nav on the i to 6.1, while staying on OS version 5.4, but finally decided against it when the projects started stacking up.

Anyway, I ordered the "Refresh" of iSeries Access for Windows from our Business Partner. I don't know if it will run on your OS version since you didn't say what it is, but it's worth asking your BP.

I have heard (mostly on this list) of people having more issues with some parts of iSeries Access 6.1, but the only thing I have experienced is occasional stuttering when I hold down the space bar or -> key for repeated operation. Annoying, when it happens, but not a killer.

Since I never installed the program product on the i, there really isn't anything new that I have noticed. I.e., just installing the client doesn't give you all of the new and improved stuff. By way of illustration: When I started here, the client versions were 3-4 releases behind that OS version. I upgraded my client to the current (at the time) version; lots of new stuff showed up because the OS/Program Product had the capability.

I have Operations Navigator Version 5 Release 3 Modification level 0 on
my Windows XP PC.

Is this current? If not, how might I update it?
