Great. That worked.

One thing i noticed, the expect command does not seem to be in my path. I
have to call:
/usr/local/bin/expect

Do i need to add the path to my enivorment variables or should i have
installed expect to a different directory?

Sorry, that's backwards. It should be:

ln -s /qopensys/usr/bin/stty /usr/local/bin/stty

Scott,
I ran all of the commands you posted on your site. Everything worked
great
until i ran the link command:

ln -s /usr/local/bin/stty /qopensys/usr/bin/stty

I received the following message:

ln: 0653-421 /qopensys/usr/bin/stty exists.
Specify -f to remove /qopensys/usr/bin/stty before linking.

I was hesitant to use the -f option. What do you think?

I've added some instructions to the following page:
http://www.scottklement.com/expect

However, my PASE environment has been heavily customized, so what worked
for might not work for you? Can you please try them out, and tell me
what worked and what didn't? If you had to do anything different,
please tell me (etc, etc) so I can make that page useful for everyone.

Can somebody post a detailed explanation on how to install expect? I
cannot
get to Scott Klement's articles because they require a ProVIP
membership
which i do not have access to right now. I have download the tar and I
know
that i uncompress and run tar -xvf expect.5.43.tar. My main question is
where should i put the tar before i run the tar -xvf command? I want to
make
sure the files get place in the correct location.

TIA
