Yes, I remember Dan very well. I have a lot of funny stories that I
could share.

It looks like maybe adding the additional system reply list entry may do
the trick.

I always have issues figuring out how to handle the multi-level messages
within programs & processes. There are a couple of message descriptions
that can get you into trouble if you try and handle all of them the same
way.

I also have now added an additional step to my upgrade checklist - print
out the system reply list entries some time before the upgrade.

I use Robot Console to handle the majority of the messages on the
system, but of course it is down when you are performing a full system
save.

I to have experienced this. Years ago. We were using Help/Systems RSA(I
think)...The unattended system backup agent that is part of Robot/Save.
Anyway, the unattended backup paused with the break message just as it
continues to happen today.

I remember Tom Huntington came down to Birmingham to diagnosis the
problem. It was funny that it did not happen while he was present.

WHY? The programmer responsible for Robot had immediately pressed enter
on the console when the break message appeared and Tom and our boss were
not looking at the panel. I was there and mentioned it to Tom.


James Salter, you will (hopefully) find this funny, the person I am
referring to was Dan Southworth.....God rest his soul..... I really miss
Dan. Taught me a lot about Robot.
