The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I think that phrase is the problem. Most PTFf's are not thought of as
Security Patches. You don't read about IBM finding a security hole in the
I operating system and putting out a patch.
Nevermind that there are plenty of vulnerabilities that affect the IBM
i - the components used on other operating systems (like Apache, BIND,
PHP) are under much more scrutiny than IBM i only stuff, since that
has very limited deployment, and the IBM i has almost no part in the
usual Blackhat revenue stream (namely, trojans and botnets).
IBM i Blackhat stuff is only interesting for professional industrial
espionage - and thus unlikely to get as much public attention as the
usual Windows or Linux exploits.
IBM has finally started to bring out security groups. Unfortunately,
the IBM i is _still_ missing an automatic update function. Just enable
it, and the weekly IPL will install all CUM+Groups. Not a good idea
for big shops with 7x24 availablity, but it would be a perfect fit for
most of our small business customers.
