Welcome to the outside world ;-)

My experience in London was similar but in my case I didn't need any
exception speed, just simple email access.
BTW my experience was a few years ago.

Subject: Hotel internet access in the UK..

Hey,

Does internet access in the UK from 3 and 4 star hotels generally REALLY
SUCK or have I just happened to luck up on 10 or so hotels this month that
just suck? It seems that in the UK "high speed internet" is about that of
poor quality dialup lines! I'm talking Coppthorns, Milliniums, Drurys.etc.
Speakeasy is calibrating these lines at 365k-down and 75k or so UP. this is
just insanity!
