I was all set to go with UPDFOO SRCLIB(TESTFOO) TGTLIB(PRODFOO), despite misgivings I couldn't put a finger on, when Vern, Joep, and Charles found the reason for those misgivings: CPYxxx usually means you're replacing one object with another, replacing either data or executable code.

What I'm doing here is changing the structure of existing data, imposing the structure of the data in SRCLIB upon the data in TGTLIB, which is more along the lines of UPDxxx or CHGxxx.

But I think I'll probably limit positional parameters to no more than one: that would have the same effect of stopping the unwary from doing something that would take minutes to do, but an hour or more to undo, without being quite as draconian as prohibiting all positional parameters.
